Hi! Welcome to our little flower farm. I'm Stephanie, and with the help of my family, I'm on a mission to add more beauty and joy to the world.

I’m more comfortable being “behind the scenes”…or out in the field…but since you are here, I figured it’s time for a proper introduction. If we haven’t had the chance to meet in-person yet I look forward to seeing you at our farm this season!

I’m often asked how Indigo Iris Farm was started. It really all began with a packet of zinnia seeds. I planted them shortly after we moved to the farm in 2020 and they gave me so much joy all summer during the uncertain times of the pandemic. I knew I wanted others to experience that same joy, so the idea of a flower farm was born.

More than just growing flowers, our farm space has transformed into an experience for visitors. I love watching how visitors are affected by the incredible beauty the flowers offer, and I’m filled with joy when they tell me they feel at peace and happy here.
Our mission at Indigo Iris Farm is to not only grow high quality specialty flowers, but to create a place where you can reconnect with nature, explore your own creativity and learn something new. We can't wait to welcome you to the farm!

We’ll be at both the Clover Farmers Market and the Fort Mill Farmers Market tomorrow, Saturday 9/5 until 12pm. It’s going to be another hot one so come early to beat the heat. We have some gorgeous bouquets ready for you!

Life isn’t always rainbows and lollipops. Sometimes it’s hard. Like farming in August when the heat is unbearable, the weeds are taking over and the stinging bugs are extra aggressive. 🫠
That’s why we need community and connection. I’m so thankful for our team here on the farm, for the amazing customers who support us and all of you here that encourage us to keep pursuing our mission to spread joy!
Whenever things get tough on the farm I really look forward to events like our Petals & Pints workshop at @theprintshopfm. It’s a healthy dose of play, creativity, connection and so. much. fun. Time spent with y’all always reminds me why we work so hard here at the farm to create spaces, opportunities and moments for YOU to connect and reset as well.

Is it October yet??? It’s just too hot to put flowers in the farm stand to wilt. Want flowers? You can pre-order a bouquet on our website and we’ll have it ready for you to pick up inside our messy but air-conditioned studio. Just be sure to let us know when you’d like to pick up during the checkout process. (We need at least a 24 hour notice so we can harvest and condition the flowers properly).

We’ve been quiet here because we packed our bags and escaped to the Canadian Rockies for the past week. I debated posting this for fear of inciting hate mail since we enjoyed 60 degree weather during a miserable heat wave in the southeast. I’m so sorry you guys literally roasted last week! 🥵 BUT this trip was just too incredible to not share. I hope it inspires you to get out and explore more, bask in the wonder of nature and reset your nervous system!

We camped in a primitive campsite in Kootenay National Park, visited Banff and Yoho National Parks and saw the most amazing mountains, rivers, lakes and wildlife. We got lucky and saw a black bear from a distance and a grizzly bear from an up close but very safe distance!

For my floriculture friends, the last image is a rare orchid that is considered endangered in Canada. We stumbled across it near Emerald Lake in Yoho just growing next to the trail. Absolutely amazing!!

I spent some precious time with a friend yesterday and during our conversation, we agreed that as we age, we learn that we’re in control of very little in this life. But we do have control over our perspective which is why we live our lives by identifying the good in any situation even when it’s disappointing, heartbreaking, or frustrating. There’s always something to be grateful for. You just have to look for it.

This morning I walked into our floral studio and saw a massive mess I had left for myself to clean up. 😩 It felt overwhelming and defeating but I picked up this one perfect sunflower admiring its perfection and inspired by its beauty. It still amazes me how God’s creation can move us so deeply!
I could have easily overlooked that amazing flower if I had focused on the room full of chaos. But the small act of appreciating that one flower changed my whole attitude.

If you’re feeling down, struggling, hurting, feeling the weight of hard times let the sunflower encourage you. Look for the light! 🌻

Chloe and I decided this is our theme this week - stay inside. 🥵 The flowers don’t handle high temperatures well and neither do I, so I’ve decided to not open the farm stand this weekend. We are also taking a break from the Fort Mill farmers market to celebrate the 4th of July. But we still have flowers for you!

Sunday is the first day of summer! This bouquet was inspired by summer sunsets… Blue skies, white, fluffy clouds, and streaks of pinks and peach as the sun disappears. It’s headed to the Fort Mill farmer’s market tomorrow. See you there from 9 AM till 12 PM.

Thank you for coming to visit us yesterday at our Open Farm Day! What an absolutely beautiful day it was. The weather was amazing, and it was such a blessing to see so many of our friends and make new ones.

Lil update from the farm: this spring has been a WILD ride already. I’m running at full speed so social media tends to fall down the priority list. But wanted to check in with you and tell you about some of the things happening here.

Y’all know we’re in a pretty bad drought right? Please pray for rain for all of us growers. We desperately need it.
Despite being dry and thirsty the flowers keep blooming. The garden never stops amazing me. Their determination to bring us joy and beauty despite their stressful and difficult conditions is a great reminder of resilience. So we keep going!

We made a zillion prom flowers for kids this season and loved every single minute. I adore seeing all the photos you’ve sent of them all dressed up! 😍

We just wrapped up our spring flower subscription and it was SO so good! We tried something different this season. We went bigger, more premium, a bit elevated and it was fantastic. Pssst: subscribers get first dibs on the good stuff like peonies…so you’ll want to join on the next round!

Our roadside sign is BACK after being ran over by a drunk driver last season. It was hand-painted by a local artist so wasn’t easily replaceable. Thank you @avahaese for sharing your talent with us AGAIN!

I got to play and create a floral headdress for a really fun session with @moments.kept.by.mandi and @nicolelovemorgan. I’m STILL talking about it. 😄

The farm has been the backdrop of so may special photography sessions for important life moments such as engagements, maternity, graduation and the most exciting one was a surprise elopement! We had our first wedding at the farm! And I wore sweatpants 😆

Next up is Mother’s Day! I’m hustling to get info and photos up on the website. So be ready to get your pre-orders in this week. DONT wait and drag your feet on this one. We sell out every year.
